The MD Film Festival is putting on a series of 3D flicks for free this month. I'm hating myself for missing Dial M for Murder and The Mad Magician, and I wish they were showing Creature From the Black Lagoon, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I can't wait to see Vincent Price on the big screen for the first time.

If anyone else is in the area, it's playing at the Charles Theatre, Wednesday at 7:00.

The Times Cinema in Milwaukee showed House of Wax and Dial M for Muthafucka.
House of Wax is alot of fun in 3-D. I saw it twice.
I saw Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3-D there too.

Saw it last night. Fantastic. They had some trouble syncing up the projectors, but after that it went smoothly. The crowd really got into it. This whole thing makes me even more furious I didn't go down there to see Dial M Murder or The Mad Magician. They've got Kiss Me Kate up next, which should be great. I've never seen an old musical on the big screen, let alone in 3D.

Also, next month they're having a Jodorowsky series. Cool

This reminds me... do DVDs of movies originally filmed as 3-D come with those wacky 3-D glasses? Mr. Green One I've seen of Friday the 13th, part 3 seemingly doesn't... Sad

Most of them are just regular 2D transfers. Those that do come with the red and blue glasses are color-code 3D, which is really shitty compared to dual-projection format.
