Any fans of this show?
I just got finished Season One and it's the most brutally funny show ever. It's Spinal Tap parody that respects genre. The concept of a death metal band who's influence can shape the world, while under the watchful eye of the government is original genius.
Favorite eps are the ones that end the season:
Dethclown: One of the band members befriends a coke addict, glam rocker clown who becomes a spy.
Dethstars: Muderface's appearance on a sitcom leads to the bands first movie "Blood Ocean", great satire.
It Has Begun: Finale where the band finally performs their concept album for sea creatures live in Poland, inciting further riots and military action. A blood war ensues.
Going to pick-up Season Two this weekend.

I love the Squidbillies theme but that's about it. AdultSwim's more recent shows have really tried my patience. I'm a Futurama/Venture Brothers kind of guy.
I don't care for Metalacalypse but I do think this is purely generational which happens now and then to me. I get agitated by the noise of it, both sound and visuals. My daughter has the season sets so maybe I'll give it another try.

I like The Venture Brothers too, especially the eps written by Edlund. I grew up as a metal head but like a bunch of different music now. I still can appreciate where the show's coming from. For not being a real band the thrash is pretty killer. Season Two has an absolutely insane extra that nearly made me piss myself this morning - Dethklok recalling band names. What's neat is you completely forget that this is just two guys voicing the five band members. It has to be heard to believe.

| Along with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia it's probably the best comedy show ever made. Put those two shows together and that basically sums up my sense of humor. |

| I love watch Squidbillies, is a great animated film, and my little kids have a game named SquidBillies. They love that game. |
