For the last year and a half I've been spending most of my time raising my kids, so I've missed a good 2 years of movies.

Give me a list of your top ten horror films of the last year or so. What's the must sees? I will compile and catch up as soon as possible.

Not sure how far back to go, but here are a few of my favorites over the past few years:

The Abandoned
The Signal
28 Weeks Later
Bug
Sunshine
The Mist
Sweeney Todd
Slither
Night Watch/Day Watch
Fido
Death Note
Invasion (the one directed by Albert Pyun, not the one with Nicole Kidman)

Here's the DC writers' best of/worst of lists from last year. That should help a bit also.

Decent list, that. I still like 30 Days, even though lots of horror folks slated it.

And if you're going to watch The Mist, I would use the black and white feature. I wish I'd known about that before I saw it.

I can't think of 10 in order right now, so:

1. The Mist
2. The Mist
3. The Mist
4. The Mist
5. The Mist
6. The Mist

...I think you all get the picture.

Other ones I really liked:

Saw IV & V
The Midnight Meat Train
Sweeney Todd
30 Days Of Night
Cloverfield
Death Proof
Planet Terror

Ones I really didn't like:

Jack Brooks (way to over-hyped for how lame it was)
I Know Who Killed Me (my sister & girlfriend tricked me into watching this pile)
Quarantine
Inside (before you rip my head off, I watched it over-dubbed instead of sub-titles and I have been told that is a mistake...so I will give it another shot)
Diary Of The Dead (I am a HUGE Romero fan...but this was a let-down all the way...Land was better)
Zombie Strippers (who wouldda thunk this movie would suck?)
