The official website for Gen Takahashi's Goth is now online.
The screenplay for Goth was written by Takahashi, Michio Kashiwada, Takashi Hotta, Midori Saitô, and Gram™, based on Otsuichi's Goth: A Novel of Horror (Goth: risutokatto jiken). The movie stars (listed order corresponds to order on flyer) Kanata Hongô, Rin Takanashi, Toshinobu Matsuo, Miyu Yagyû, Sô Yamanaka, Minoru Torihada, Yûna Natsuo, Kei Nakata, and Keishi Nagatsuka.
There are synopses for all six of the stories that comprise Goth: A Novel of Horror in the belowlinked Wikipedia article on it.
Jolly Roger Inc. (K.K. Jorî Rojâ) plans to release Goth theatrically in Japan in late December.
J.T. Petty's Goth is likewise to be based on Goth: A Novel of Horror. The official website for that movie isn't online yet; however, the URL for it is http://www.goth-movie.com/. BTW, according to Petty, his hoaxumentary S&man is finally set to be released on DVD in the U.S.; he is quoted on the TIFF 2008 Midnight Madness Blog as having said that it "basically made it into the world through fan demand overriding the legal hassle of getting it releasable. Hopefully it'll be on shelves within six months."
