Yeah it's a long one but it's so well written it becomes a fast read. At least it did for me. It's out on paperback now and it's about as big as Battlefield Earth which is awesome too. Travolta really fucked up that movie. Just horrible. They could have easily made 3 movies out of it.

Still haven't read it besides the first couple chapters. I have no excuse. It just sits there on my bookshelf neglected.

You don't know what you're missing. It does start off kind of slow with all the backstory and love interest stuff that goes on before the expedition leaves.

I still intend to read it. Just haven't been able to concentrate on reading lately.

I hear ya. Happens to me all the time. Once this book gets going though it's a real page turner. I've been wanting to start Bram Stoker's Dracula, which I have never read, for months now but can't seem to be able to pull the trigger.
Actually now I want to read The Relic and Reliquary after discussing them around here.
I've also got King's new book of short stories sitting here and I just picked up the new one by the guys that wrote The Relic today. I'[m as bad with books as I am with videogames. |
