Dungeons and Dragons 2: Wrath of the Dragon God

Strange... the first one was released theatrically, the second was made by the Scifi channel, but the second one is waaay better.

The Other Guys.

It was much funnier than I thought it'd be. The trailers don't do the film justice, nor do they convey the level of action sequences in the film.

It's a really good movie, one well worth watching.

And I've just got to say it was great seeing Michael Keaton be damn funny again. He's terrific in The Other Guys.

I also saw Salt last week and thought that it was as good, if not better, than Inception. Director Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, The Saint, The Bone Collector, Rabbit-Proof Fence) and writer Kurt Wimmer (writer/director of Equilibrium; he also wrote Law Abiding Citizen and The Recruit, among others) have crafted an intriguing, intense, suspenseful, action-packed movie that rests solely on the shoulders of Angelina Jolie, who's terrific as always. She is ably supported by a dynamic cast, lead by outstanding performances by Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Salt is a wonderful film, full of great action set pieces, sharp writing, and sure-handed direction. (And kudos to Noyce for not employing "Shaky Cam" every time a fight scene occurs; it's much appreciated. I also commend him for using a very minimal amount of CGI in the film.)

Hey his two Harrison Ford Jack Ryan flicks were solid. And have you seen Rabbit-Proof Fence? That's a masterpiece. Kenneth Branagh is amazing.

And yes, I am rather serious. Salt is a very enjoyable and entertaining film, as is Inception.

The Fighter

I really liked it. Christian Bale gives the best performance of his career.
