That scar on Keach's face is a nice little touch too. Wonder how he got that thing. Defending Ursula Andress from Cannibals, maybe?

It will probably be available on OnDemand shortly. I know it's eventually going to air on Spike TV as an original movie. The DVD will follow quickly, but so far no dates yet. It already aired in Canada, I think. We'll be sure to announce the air and release dates as soon as we get them.

Huh, didn't realize that. That does explain the moustache...

Did your guys get him to shave it, or was it already shaven when shooting started?

He shaved it for the role, in fact. It was his own idea.

You don't watch it online. OnDemand is available on some cable carriers. I'm not sure which ones offer it. Personally, I don't have it. It depends on what cable or satellite company you have. It's not available on DishNetwork, that much I know. Anyone else know who offers OnDemand?

Anyone with Time Warner Cable or Comcast (or subsidiaries) should be able to watch it. I believe the price is $4.99.

So, let's talk about scripting the fight scenes.

Did you guys just write "FIGHT SCENE" and leave the director and stunt coordinators to fill in the blanks, or was there a little more written detail?

Here's a short fight scene directly from the script.

The sound of a horn BLARES.

Spider rips Burke's jaw with a hard right. Burke stumbles back, spits blood onto the cement.

Burke dodges Spiderís next attack, barely able to block the rain of punches coming at him. Heís still shocked at the situation.

Supremely confident, Spider pumps his fists in the air.

Recovering, Burke assumes a fighting stance.

Burke swings but misses. Spider pounces on Burkeís arm, pulls him in for a choke hold.

Spider leans in to Burke's ear, bites down, draws blood.

Burke reacts, rockets his head back viciously into Spider's grinning face, crushes his nose.

Burke slips out of the staggered skinhead's grasp.

Spider puts his hand to the gushing blood of his nose. He tastes the red fluid, grins with demented pleasure.

Burke counters Spiderís next attack, flings him against the side of the pit.

Burke drags Spiderís face across the chain-link, scrapes off a layer of skin in the process.

Spider sweeps Burkeís leg out from under him and steps back.

Spider raises his fists to resume action, Burke spins suddenly, taking Spider down with a leg whip to the head.

Burke stands over the bleeding Spider.

That's just part of it. I don't know if that's the way most writers compose fight scenes, but it's the way David and I do it. We like to write short and too the fucking point. Quick declarative details splashed across the page, like comic books. No fat, no padding, just cool shit. Some of the fights have dialog, others are silent. A few got cut completely. A bar fight we wrote turned into a car chase instead. One of the characters we killed off during a fight got spared somehow and survives. Some of the weapons we gave the fighters made it in to the film, some didn't. In the script, we gave them sharpened car antennas to slash each other with at one point, but we lost them during production for whatever reason.

Regardless, we're really happy with this one. It's a straight up throwback to the days of Cannon Films. A loving tribute to some of our favorite action movies. Personally, I think it's a blast. I can't wait to hear what others think.
