Yes, I know that it's been out for a couple of months but I didn't get it until January and... well, what's your opinion on it?

I find it an extremely peculiar album - with three or so songs as exceptions (Wall of Fire, You're Alive and Solid Gold) it's basically a "fun personified" band going all moody and depressive - and here's the kicker: It works much better than the concept has any right to.

Even though the overall songwriting is in the technicalities very similar to their preceding material, its overall focus and feel is completely different (witness how Slap in the Face seems to be an "evil twin" to Space Lord) and that's not easy to pull off. I'm still not totally sold on the song You're Alive, though, it sounds like an outtake from God Says No - and the production is too loud even though it amazingly enough still has some dynamic range intact.

The cover art is also the best they've ever had, hence why I'm using it as an avatar. Cool
