Alright...someone here clue me in, if they can.
I was very young (six or so) when I went to see A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors in the theater. I was in the lobby with my mother getting popcorn before the movie started.
Off to the side, up against the wall, there was a cardboard cutout of Freddy. Next to that was a bare mattress with a cardboard banner above it with the film's logo and the phrase "LIE DOWN...IF YOU DARE!". Behind the mattress were black curtains. As I was quite young, I did not do as my mother suggested and "go look at it."
That really cool theater (Tara Cinemas) is now closed (it has been since late 1998/early 1999; it was replaced by a rental storage facility) and all these years later I've never been able to ascertain if this was a New Line Cinema promotion or just something cool the theater did.
Does anyone have any ideas? _________________ "I hate all sports as rabidly as a person who likes sports hates common sense." - H. L. Mencken
