There is seriously something unfair with the Eliminator.
And that is the part where they have to grab onto those bike pedal things and pump their way across a gap.
The problem is, if a contestant is too weak to do it, they can just drop down to the mat and run across the gap, climb up and keep going. Leaving the other competitor trying to do it the hard way in the dust.
The person who drops down and runs across should get some sort of a time penalty, but they don't.
It would be better if there was a pool instead of a mat, so they'd have to swim across instead of running across.
Otherwise I was entertained by the show. I've never seen the original. |
If I'm remembering correctly, in the original, dropping off that handbike thing was an instant DQ. So you HAD to make your way across on that piece of shit, or take a disqualification instead.
Figures in a day and age when people whine about things being "too hard" or requiring too much thought to figure out, that they'd change things to make it easier on the contestants.
What's next, velcro shoes on the Pugil Stick challenge?
Anyway, NINJA WARRIOR owns this show hands down. You want to see REAL athletic prowess and stunning displays of perseverance? Check out NINJA WARRIOR. Plus, you don't have to put up with the Hulkster interviewing himself...errr....the contestants......every week.

Are you ready for a re-airing of the '90s syndicated series Gladiators 2000 (starring a young coffee table..oops, I mean Ryan Seacrest) and an animated American Gladiators series?

| I thought it was hilarious that one of the contestants is a porn actress, although in her bio they showed her as being a rodeo competitor. Did she not think anyone would recognize her? sheesh |
