I'm sad to report that someone set fire to one of my favorite haunted houses last night...The Pike House in San Marcos, TX, was the location for CSPR's first hunt as a group. The house was over 100 years old, and was a real treasure. And some asshole burned it down. Makes me sick.

Follow the link to find out more about this fascinating house...

Sigh. Reminds me of how pissed I was when kids started breaking the 1800's headstones I was trying to fix out at Shiloh. Boy, there were some very unhappy souls there after that.

Here's how she looked last night...I'm going back after work to see what's left.

Looks like a pretty sturdy brick structure. Did the whole thing fall apart or is the shell still standing?

If there's any justice, a firebug somewhere is going to start finding their asses haunted something fierce.

Am I reading that background page correctly? This building is an official National Landmark? I thought those got some support for upkeep from the government - the interior photos you show make it look completely run-down and falling apart.

That place was so old and run down it was ready to go. Glad to see it gone. I heard this was an accident. Burn baby burn
