Bought it, played it, beat it.
This game is addictive!
There are many more creatures and boss battles and the environments are massive! There's still a reason to keep your PS2!

I was glad I got it ... but then beat it so quickly and saw that it doesn't really conclude anything.

This really sits as the Empire Strikes Back of the GoW franchise. So, let us just hope that the next PS2, PSP or PS3 installment doesn't have a bunch of muppets.

Since Crazy Al enjoyed the first one so much, for his birthday I surprised him with GoW 2.

So far he's made it past the Pegasus flight, and probably would've made it farther but there's that pesky thing called sleep and one does need that for work the next day.

Took me a little while but I just got done Spartan mode. I was really pleased overall, especially at the large increase in the number of boss battles. The O tapping did not seem as intense as it was in the first, but that was an incredibly good thing in my book.

In the end the only things left that I do not particularly like are the inability to skip cutscenes and my dislike of timed button presses (especially during cutscenes). Those little details did little to mar an awesome game.
