Well, first the David Lee Roth reunion explodes and now Eddie Van Halen has entered rehab. Oh, and it seems that Roth is mad that he won't be allowed to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, so he's not going anymore. It's a circus. What are your takes on all of this?

Oh, and I'm kind of mad at the reunion not happening. I had a small bet with a friend that the tour would last only twelve shows. He said seven, so he won be being closer to ZERO.

Considering the hatred that the Van Halen brothers have for Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar, I think it's funny that the only guys showing up to the HOF ceremony are those two.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with Van Halen. Roth is a total dick, but the band was always at its best with him at the helm. I just never could warm up to Hagar. Eddie's one of the best guitar players I ever had the pleasure of seeing perform live, but I lost a lot of my affection for him when he & Valerie broke up. I hope he works through his demons -- they must be pretty major by now.

And why wouldn't Alex go to the ceremony? Just because Eddie can't? Sounds pretty fucked up to me.

I don't think I'll ever figure our Alex Van Halen. He seems to be practically attatched to Eddie. He always said that the second Eddie retires is when he will, and the only thing he ever seems to do by himself is divorce various wives every other week.

Regardless, he had an awesome drum solo at the show I saw them during the Hagar reunion tour in '04.

I knew that tour wouldn't kick off cause the Van Halen brothers let their egos get too big so so long ago and look what happened. The same thing that happens to everyone else that lets their ego get that big. I would've liked to see a Van Halen reunion, but it'll never happen until they let go of their egos.
