Hey Ghouls,
A few months back I started a thread about great, or at least werewolf novels and you all came through in the clutch. Now I do the same thing for Zombie fiction. I have read Keene's books, King's Cell, along with Bryan Smith's truly poor Deathbringer. If any of you have any interesting suggestions please pass them on! It would be apprecaiated. _________________ "Have you tried talking to a corpse? It's boring."

Wetwork by Phil Nutman
Book of the Dead I and II edited by Craig Spector and John Skipp
Dead in the West by Joe R Lansdale
World War Z by Max Brooks
There are plenty of others, but those are some good ones. |

Here you go, man. It's the list
http://www.zombiebooklist.com/
World War Z is the best one I've read recently. It's a must. Also,
Xombies : Walter Greatshell
The Naming of Parts : Tim Lebbon
Reign of the Dead I & II : Len Barnhart
Night of the Loving Dead : Futch & Newman
And as I said in another thread, I'm going to be starting Monster Nation. The 2nd book in a series by David Wellington. _________________ Insert something funny here |

Look for Dead Heat by Del Stone Jr. It was the winner of The 1996 International Horror Guild (IHG) Award for Best First Novel and nominated for The 1996 Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel. It's pretty short, really cool and has some awesome illustrations in it. The main protagonist, Hitch, is a visual just as cool as Ghostrider ever was. He's a partially skeletal zombie biker with a meathook on a chain as his weapon of choice.

Read the reviews and I guarantee you'll want the book.
And I second the suggestion to get Book of the Dead 1 and 2. One of the stories in there, Lansdale's "On the Far Side of the Cadillac Desert with Dead Folk," has to have the coolest name of any story ever! |

I hear The Zombie Survival Guide is excellent.
I'm picking it up soon.
World War Z is a fantastic book. Basically an unofficial expansion on the Romero zombieverse with the same intelligent shades and dark humor.
Worth a purchase without a doubt. _________________ ----------

Pontypool Changes Everything by Tony Burgess.
One of the strangest zombie novels you will ever read. I mean it! _________________ Damn! |

Agreed. I really liked The Dead Sea, as well. A very quick read. _________________ Insert something funny here |

Honestly, no I don't think you would. Of the three The Rising is the best written one so if you hated that, you will hate Dead Sea. I almost did. |
