Yes! Remake that piece of shit! Remake it! Remake!! Yes! Yes!

I'm calm.

Seriously though, I hope they remake that garbage. "Prom Night" was quite possibly one of the worst slashers ever made. It's bad even for slasher movie standards.

And that ending is so stupid.

I remember when I sat down to watch it with my parents, I was about ten and I guessed who the killer was within the first half hour. Give me a break.

Remake this bitch up the wazoo.

When a movie is really, really bad, perhaps it should be allowed to lie in its shallow grave, never to be disturbed or remade again. I mean, should we remake Feardotcom to try to make it "good"? Does House of the Dead deserve another go? How about Killer Tongue?

It pains me to consider seeing those films reborn. Laughing

At best we'll get a mediocre slasher, which is better than a shitty slasher flick.

I was actually worried that I would write that article and then have a bunch of people on the message board screaming about what a great movie PROM NIGHT was.

It will NEVER be as good as ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES.

Where's my remake of that, huh?

Yes, but wasn't Jaime Lee Curtis topless in it? That must count for something.

That would be ME! I really like Prom Night, it is a bit slow and it's so easy to guess who the killer will turn out to be but I think it's quite enjoyable.

Hasn't this remake been in the pipeline for years.
I find Sony Gems the lesser of two evils for doing this remake, if Dimension owned it I'd give up all hope.
I do think there is a lot of room for improvement though, it would be great if the movie opened the same with the same clue but had a different killer.

Nope, not until trading places. Man, she did loads of slashers but never showed her tits until a comedy.

Hmm. I must have retroactively added the tits to make my memory of the film less painful.

Heh.

"Not until Trading Places in 1982. She didn't show her tits...until she went legits."

Sorry, couldn't help it. Razz

The current script deals with a supernatural killer and has very little to do with the original, actually.

So in other words, they're actually remaking HELLO, MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT 2 or PROM NIGHT 3: THE LAST KISS?
