Unlike most of you, I kinda enjoyed 'Grudge 2' when I saw it in the theatre this past year.
I just read Creepy's "front page" review of the DVD and I'm REALLY excited to check it out, if for nothing else, to see the "alternate ending".

It wasn't a bad movie. It was just such a formula. I'll get it on dvd if for no other reason than to get a stop-watch and time between each suspense scene. I'm thinking it will be exactly eight minutes.

I wasn't overly fond of this, but I did really like the Chicago set storyline. Since you're in the market for picking up the disc, you might want to check out Best Buy. Seems they have a special two disc version available:

I just caught this on DVD. Hated, hated it. What a fucking mess this was. I'm too pissed off to even discuss it. I didn't even think the first one was bad either.

edit: I liked the alternate ending a lot more than the original one, even that absurd part stolen from a certain scene in Poltergeist 2.

This is EXACTLY how I felt about it...I actually was so pissed that I sent an email to Ghost House bitching about how terrible it was...I know that's not rational, but I was so pissed that I didn't care.

I'm not sure about picking this one up or not. I really liked the first Japanese one (or third depending on how you look at it) but I was pretty annoyed by the lame remake. Is this one closer in style and flow to the good old ones or the week remake?

Well fancy that I just saw it within the past few hours. Honestly I was surprised. It was alot better than I'd heard and much better than the previous American installment. of course it's not a great movie but it's a decent time.

Now the question is whether that best buy edition is worth the extra bucks while they're still in stock? does anyboy have a copy to comment on?

I just shut the son-bitch off after one hour. Rolling Eyes

I've said alot of bad things about movies I disliked, but this truly is one of the rare occasions when I watched something sooooo horrible that words cannot properly describe just how shitty it is. I'm actually speechless.

I can't believe this movie got released. I would have shelved it indefinately.

It wasn't even SLIGHTLY creepy, scary, eerie, whatever word you like to use for horror films. It was about as interesting and entertaining as an insurance seminar.
