I know there are alot of haters out there but it's time for you guys to come clean and admit that Takashi Miike exceeds Alfred HitchCOCK in every way. I can't think of a single HitchCOCK movie that is even close to ranking with Ichi. Everyone blows a load over Psycho and I admit it's a cute little movie but it's not as though HitchCOCK innovated anything with this film. Psycho was written by someone else and in the text of that novel all the layouts and camera angles and everything that people ode to HitchCOCK were laid out by the author. And aside from Psycho WHAT HAS HE DONE!?!?!? NOTHING Birds sucked, North by Northwest sucked, come on. This guy is a hack. Takashi Miike is the new religion. Let me quote a well respected critic about Miike...

God remember when EVERYONE had those things? Awful.
In junior high, there was a woman's office who had posters of them, and an entire desk crowded with them.

I remember. God those were awful. I know too many people who thought they were actually good luck and almost deified these things.
