Mt freind-don't hold out. Just put the other books on the side and get htis one and read it. The power of Zombie War compels YOU!

I have FOUR books to finish-so, I know the feelin'

By-The-By-How about a film adaption? Hopefully Showtime or HBO may option the rights and do this like a documentary type mini-series.

A Masters of Horror would even be cool.

Man I'm getting a serious world history lesson with this shit. I love how Isreal and Cuba are the only two countries to have really done anything about the outbreak.

And man some of the battles are EPIC. Yonkers? Jesus that'd be an awesome scene.

Indeed. Brooks' meticulous research and global perspective give it a textured reality that would normally not be found in a genre novel.

Hmmm. Perhaps. However, if that were to be so, then I think it would severly limit the global scope of the film.

Perhaps Day By Day Armeggedon might fit into a MOH ep better-given its first person narrative.

Its already optioned for a feature film. Old news, right? Or did I miss something?

Anyway, this along with THE WALKING DEAD is the best contribution to the zombie sub-genre in a long long long long time.

I love zombie fiction, but most of it is atrocious crap lower on the food chain than any Harlequin romance novel. Hell, I didn't even like THE RISING by Brian Keen (thought it was awful actually, and very amateurish in ways...HATED what he did with the dead) so I am picky as all hell.

WWZ gets a 9.5 from me however. Highly highly reccomended.

This can't be a movie.

No way can you fit it into a movie.

For the love of all things good and holy turn it into a showtime or hbo show or mini series.

A show preferably.

i just bought it this past weekend along with monster nation and mccammon's mystery walk. I am reading it now. It's pretty good. It would be better if he had used a real air national guard base name in memphis. As far as I know there isn't one called Parnell and my uncle who is in the army has never heard of it either. It's too bad the book takes place after the outbreak, i would love it if the jerk that was making money off of the outbreak had gotten eaten.

Although he(Max) makes up a lot of it, it still is pretty rich in it's detail. The guy is pretty good at zombie fiction.

By the by, I'm interested to hear how Monster Nation is. I have Monster island along with World War Z sitting in my "To Read" pile.
