Dude, "Thriller" rules. I'm a total goon for that movie: I have both versions. This actually happened by accident. I wasn't aware of the "full contact" edition until after I had bought the other cut. No big deal. A good film school lesson...for utter weirdos.

You know, before I was all about the hardcore scenes in Thriller..but after rethinking it and talking to my girlfriend, those scenes seem a bit excessive. Kinda take away from the film.

Not to mention the super slow-mo fight scenes are fucking annoying.

Other than that, I love this movie.

I'm a violence fiend, so I really like the slow motion. But yeah, the sex does take away from the rest of the movie. I admire it for having the guts to be that damn subversive, but chalk it up as a failed experiment. (From my POV only.)

That eyeball scene in the full cut is beautiful.

I disagree you both. I think its essential in setting the tone for what follows.

Not neccessarily. If you take the porn out, it wouldn't take anything away from the film. She already had her eye gouched out, we know she was forced into prosititution but is it vital to the film to show that cock in that pussy?

Okay, maybe not vital. But I do think that it lends itself to setting the atmosphere more effectively.

I think the hardcore scenes added alot of controversy to the film. I know the whole draw for me was the hardcore scenes. Every advertisement I saw always mentioned the uncut penetration that was reinserted.

Either way, I enjoy the movie with or without the penetration.
