I loved the Suffering, but the second part is pissing me off. I bought it eons ago, and just had not had the opportunity to play it. Now, I got to spend some time in Torque's world again, and I have some major gripes:
1. Xombium - before you were able to keep up to 10 bottles of this non FDA approved drug, and use it as you wanted. Now it is just administered when you stumble upon it. This is annoying and makes me think they dumbed down the gameplay in the rush to get the game out.
2. ARMY GUYS? The best part of the first game was the total immersion and isolation of Torque into a place where there were just a few people, and when you ran into humans, it was brief and sweet. Here I can figth legions of demonic hell, and then get shot in the ass and die by a bullet from a wanna be Splinter cell dude? WTF? And just when I get back into the swing of the game, they come back, and TONS of them. If I wanted to play Counterstrike, I would have bought that game.
I dunno, I am enjoying it, but it does not seem to be at the level that I did with the first game. |

Two months ago I played and beat The Suffering (PS2) and had a good time with it.
I wanted to play this sequel, but all the changes that they made in the gameplay really turned me off.
Like only holding two guns (realistic but bullshit) and only getting health powerups as you find them and not being able to stock up.
I also read that on escort missions, it is too easy to kill the person you are trying to escort to safety.
I'm going to pass on this one. |

It's been sitting in my game binder for a while now. Played the heck out of it one day, and just decided, after I got tired of it, to put it away for a while.
Not that great of a game, but STILL better than JAWS: Unleashed. _________________ I'm not in here with you....you're in here with ME. |
