Anyone like this show? I tend to stay away from cooking shows because they can be really boring. Alton is a good host.

Alton is fantastic. it's not just cooking. it's history and culture and science.

my husband, my best friend and I all try out Alton's cooking methods and we're all better cooks for it.

His whole thing with Barbie dolls is a bit freaky, but funny. I love the episodes where he puts on an alter ego and cooks. The whole KFC Colonel bit he did with pineapple upside down cake had me laughing the whole time. I don't know that I remember what he was showing us cooking wise, but it was funny.

Good Eats is one of my "can't miss" shows! i've also been enjoying Feasting on Asphalt - especially the segment they filmed in my hometown of Charlotte, NC...even if they did get the name of the drive-in restaurant wrong *lol*
for the record, if anyone's been watching, it's South 21, not 21 South. but since it's
Alton, i'll let it slide Smile

I have a Food Network problem. It's just about the only channel I'll watch these days.

I love Alton Brown - on Good Eats, in Feasting on Asphalt, and on Iron Chef America. I'm not much of a fan of the America version but he's enjoyable as the host.

I think Alton Brown is great - good sense of humor, quirky, and puts a complete new spin on cooking shows. It's a can't miss show for my boyfriend - he's glued to the TV when that show is on.
