I'm sort of in-between on this right now.

Halloween has been my favorite of all the Horror franchises and when I first heard the remake word being booted around, i was kind of blah about the whole thing.

But then I read Rob was directing and it totally went the other direction. I loved both House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects(Which I thought was the best movie of 2005) and I figure, like was said before, he can't do any worse than Halloween: Resurrection.

I've never been a huge fan of the halloween movies. I recognise that they are a very very important part of horror history so i was a bit pissed hearing there was going to be yet ANOTHER crappy sequel. Now knowing its going to be a fresh start and directed by rob on top of that, i have faith and im actually extremely interested to see how it pans out.

I'd like to see the full trailer before I make any judgements.
Let's see with this guy can come up with.
We can't immediately write him off... he did do Rejects.

He claims it woun't be, but at this point it looks to me like an empty statement. in short, it's a remake.

I have total faith in Zombie. He has a great sense of what is scary and what looks good. House of 1000 Corpses was good, but Devil's Reject was great. It showed me that he knows how to make a horror movie. I look forward to 2007.

the movie hasn't even been written, there is no script,no screenplay, nothing has been shot and no trailer so to say it's too early to make a judgement is quite an understatement.it may or may not be a good movie by the time he's done with it.All anyone say at this point is to give him a chance and see what he can do.some of you may even like what he's come up with.

I'm in two minds over this. While I think that Rob Zombie could do a good Halloween movie, but I'm not optimistic when it comes to "remakes/reimaginings" (it's the same bloody thing).

I'm not going to slag off the film. I'll be patient and wait for a trailer. Then if it look like shite, then I'll slag it off... Wink

i'm also torn... i hate it when they re-make GOOD movies! why don't they do good remakes of shitty movies, instead of remakes of movies that were already good!

i love rob & his work... hate most remakes... wha to do?

Ah, nice to see some good, old-fashioned hate for Dimension Films. Not that they can't make a good movie again. They just haven't gotten around to it.

Zombie will make a good flick. He always does. If it's simply called "Halloween," whatever. Why not keep with the JC tradition, and call it "Rob Zombie's Halloween?" For once, blasphemy seems better to me.

I Just pray it's better than House of a thousand corpses.

I was so dissappointed.

First off, I'm obviously a huge Rob Zombie fan, so I'm very excited to see this movie based only on the fact that Rob's involved.

Secondly, I've only seen the first Halloween movie. I know, I know, I'm horrible. I've just never really been that into seeing the sequels.

Thirdly, House of 1000 Corpses disappointed you, FKD?! Why? Heh. Sorry, I just think it's one of the best horror films of all time, so I don't understand why anyone doesn't like it.

The way the last few Halloweens have been sucking, I don't see how Zombie COULDN'T make a better movie.

I'm interested to see how he does with it.

I think it's the best thing that could happen to the Halloween franchise!

No more Busta Rhymes or shitty thirty year old acters playing teens.
