Up until after "Obsidian Butterfly" LKH stuff was rather good. Especially the first several novels which focused on the crimes and not the paranormal soap opera come porn. After "Obsidian Butterfly" she fell off her game.

Now just read the Harry Dresden novels if you want urban fantasy, they're a lot better.

I totally agree. I was a huge Anita Blake fan until Narcissus in Chains and I started losing track of how many guys Anita was sleeping with. I get nauseous even reading the book jackets now.
