The English-language title of Sudor frío is "Cold Sweat". The movie is set to have its U.S. première at this year's SXSW Film Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas, which runs from March 11th to March 19th.

Cold Sweat stars Facundo Espinosa, Marina Glezer, Camila Velasco, Omar Musa, Omar Gioiosa, Rolf García Puga, Victoria Witemburg, Daniel de la Vega, Nicolas Marotta, and Noelia Vergini.

Here's a synopsis for Cold Sweat from the SXSW Film Conference and Festival: "A young man searching for his missing girlfriend. A loyal friend willing to do anything to uncover the truth. An investigation that culminates in an old house. Inside two brutal murderers expect them, armed with twenty-five boxes of explosives stolen from the last military dictatorship in Argentina."

The English-language title of Masacre esta noche is "Watch'em Die". Distribution rights for the movie are being offered for sale by Cinema Gotika (Ave Estudios s.r.l.).

Here's a synopsis for Watch'em Die from Cinema Gotika: "A freelance cameraman attends as a replacement to film a pornographic movie and, finding that it is a snuff film of real murders without the aid of special effects, he must take the decision of being an accomplice and participant of the violent act, or risk everything to save the lives of the actresses and escape. Which would be a routine work day soon turns into a night of blood and extreme violence."

Watch'em Die

Watch'em Die is scheduled to be screened at Imagine: 27th Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival (Imagine) on April 14th, 15th, 19th, and 23rd; Cold Sweat is scheduled to be screened there on April 15th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd.

Here's a description of Watch'em Die from Imagine: "A young, down-on-his-luck filmmaker lands a job through an acquaintance. He's to replace a cameraman who suddenly disappeared during a film production. On location he finds a porn actor and a dazed girl in addition to the rest of the crew. But who is that man wearing that strange mask? Our hero is shocked to find out that he landed on the set of a snuff film. How is he going to get out of this one? ¶ From the moment the axe appears, Masacre esta Noche turns into a bloody black comedy. The writing and directing brothers Adrián and Ramiro Garcia Bogliano don't focus on the sexual violence, but rather on what happens on the set of such a gruesome film. Turns out, it's not all that different from the set of any cheap film production. The producer roars about going over budget, the director wallows in his own pretensions and the over-the-hill porn actor can't stop gushing about his glory days. And besides being bloody and funny, Masacre esta Noche is also quite suspenseful."

Here's a description of Cold Sweat from Imagine: "In Buenos Aires stands an old, stately home. Jacquie, Román and Ali wish they had never set foot in it, for when they entered they walked straight into a trap set by two geriatric veterans of the AAA - one of the most renowned Argentinian death squads of the seventies. And those old fogies still have about 25 boxes of highly unstable explosives at their disposal. ¶ Director Adriàn Garcia Bogliano (I'll Never Die Alone) returns to Imagine with the horror comedy Masacre esta Noche and his very newest, Sudor Frio. For your information: the Alianza Anticomunista Argentina actually existed and made hundreds of political opponents of general Videla 'disappear'. The long drawn-out scenes with hazardous liquids and murderous grandpa[s] are of course entirely the brainchild of [García] Bogliano. Sudor Frio is the first horror film that was made with support from the National Film Institute of Argentina. The film stormed the Argentine box office in the first weeks of February and made it to eighth place. Imagine has the European premiere of Sudor Frio and, true to its title, it will cause a whole lot of cold sweat."
