Wow Frankie, we're really the ONLY one's watching?!!
Can't be.
All the others must just be too embarrassed to admit to it or something... LOL
Seriously though, I can see why it's not exactly priority viewing among genre fans like the forthcoming THE WALKING DEAD that we're all so excited about, but I'm enjoying it to a certain extent.
I mean, as a lifelong SK fan & a sucker for the "strange goings on in a small New England town" sub-genre, I feel compelled to watch. No matter how silly some of the episodes might be.
And, believe me, there have been some REALLY silly eppies early on in this show's run thus far.
Including this past week's succubus one. With, of course, the ubiquitous to genre television series "one of the lead characters suffers sudden onset old age". Complete with the usual shi**y, chuckle inducing make up effects.
I mean, c'mon.
I don't expect Ben Button-level effects on a SYFY show budget, but...
Still, the three leads & their relationships to one another get more intriguing each week & I'm commited to see what the deal is with Haven & "The Troubles".
Not to mention the "Lucy" mystery.
Hopefully the cast & their character's chemistry will continue to evolve & gell in an entertaining way & the scripts will become better as the season continues. _________________ I LIVE IN THE WEAK & THE WOUNDED |
