Sam Hell has the sound, mostly surefire advice, but in my experience it is way easier and cheaper to just but a bargain bin run of the mill DVD player then hack it and make it region free. You can look up the codes to make them region free online (it is like putting in a video game code; like up up down down left right left rigt BA just using your remote control, and probably number, and probably not the Konami Code).
Buy a cheap player then google "hack" + *your dvd model here* + (maybe "region")
Sorry, I cannot recommend any specific site, I just kind of sift through the google results until I find one that works. I have had good results, but the sites always give warnings about how you might crash your player... blah blah blah.
Alternatively, if you watch movies on your computer there is a freeware program called DVD43 that will remove your region codes.

I know that it makes it look like it is for ripping DVDs, but all it really does is decode them, so it will act to remove region codes. |

If you're to enjoy yourself here, you'll need to realize that alot of us are like Malachi, in that while it may appear harsh, its clearly intended in jest, and the issue only arises when a new member fails to realize that. I say new because even though this board is new, most of us know each other from other forums and are accustomed to the harmless humor.
