Has anyone read this yet? It's a comicbook series from Vertigo that Stephen King is co-writing with Scott Snyder for the first five issues. It's basically two interweaving stories in each issue. Definitely worth checking out, although TBH I'm more interested in Snyder's story over King's at the moment.

This sounds great to me but seeing as how I have absolutely no clue where a comic shop is aside from the one that's an hour away where I used to live I'll have to wait for Barnes & Noble to get it. Feel free to go into as much detail as you want though I'm very interested. Wink

Fangoria has a good article about it.

I read the first one. It was ok. I liked the Stephen King story so far better then the other one, but will see how it plays out.

Read the first issue and I'm halfway done with the second issue. So far I'm loving the hell out of this series. I like that these vampires evolve as they age and become stronger and immune to sunlight. These benefits also carry over to anyone they turn. I'd recommend grabbing #1 and #2 ASAP.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, classic monsters such as vampires will never grow old as long as you've got a great story to tell with interesting characters. I think American Vampire is an example of that.
