Wow! At least for the first 5 minutes. I did not expect that. So, are they even on an island?

Between this and South Park, that was a great night of season premieres. I'm really excited to see next weeks to see what happened with the other survivors.

Especially, Locke, Ecko and Desmond. The preview of next week didn't seem to show them. I want to know what exactly happened with them and that damned hatch.

Sawyer solving the little contraption in his cage was great, especially with the "The Bears solved it in two hours." line, gee, wonder if they were Polar Bears Very Happy

Quick logic question. If the Hydra station is underwater, how could Jack possibly close it so easily with that much pressure?

I really like the trend they have started with the opennings to Season 2 and 3 where previous events are seen through another perspective. It was Desmond's pov of the blowing of the hatch last season and now how the Other's saw the plane crash.

Depends how deep underwater when it comes to strength of the pressure, but it could have been right at sea level.

I considered that, but the aquarium room in which Jack is imprisioned has a very high ceiling (with a chain dangling). Also, why did Juliet want him to stop pulling on the chain?

On a side note, when Jack opened that door and the water flooded in, I swear I saw a Chicago Bears cap floating in the water. Did anyone else see that? Just something odd. Razz

I bet there was no particular reason at all outside of getting him to trust her and her "concern" for him. She came across very magnanimous toward him--motherly-- where Ben is the evil genius of the group. She referred to his stubbornness and like a Mother was trying to talk him down from obsessing with doing something that's pointless and would in the end just wear him out and frustrate him even more or cause injury-- like climbing and yanking on chains attached to a steel ceiling.
