Steven Wright all the way. I just love his abstract, deadpan style of comedy.

I really love Daniel Tosh.. his show Tosh.0 is so damn hilarious. I'm hoping that I will be seeing him in Vegas this March.

Also a huge Zack Galfina... w/e. His stand up is so funny. I was a fan before he was in any movies. Of course The Hangover just made me love him even more.

Are your minds blown?

I really did like Richard Jeni. Steve Byrne is pretty funny, as is Tosh, which I recently discovered on Netflix instant.

Tim Allen or should I say Tim Dick is funny as hell. His book Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man is laugh out loud funny.

Patton Oswalt, by far. George Carlin will always be a legend in comedy, for damn good reason. And someone who vanished from comedy prematurely to do bit parts in movies and TV was Rick Overton. His stand-up killed me back in the 80's.

double malt triple shot for Patton...

my list is HUGE (horror and comedy are like Hades and Zeus), so I'll be back to this thread over and over, but to begin...

Redd Fox
Flip Wilson
Eddie Griffin
Tree
Johnathan Winters
Don Rickles
Richard Pryor (prior to Silver Streak)
Bernie Mac
The Umbilical Brothers
Janeane Garofalo (when not on the wagon)
Strassman
Richard Jeni
Dana Gould (pre-Simpsons)
Bobby Lee
Nicole Parker...

yeah, short list.

Carlin, Pryor, Eddie Murphy and of course Kineson.

The new group of comedians that I absolutely love are Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Zach Galifanakis(have been following his career since the late 90's) and few others that I cannot remember off the top of my head.

My all time favorite though is Bill Hicks. No other voice will ever capture exactly what I was thinking like he did.

In the back of my mind, I have an ALTAR to Bill Hicks.

I think he was far beyond a comedian. I think (had he been allowed another decade of life) he could have been the next Samuel Clemens...

Zach Galifianakis' internet interview show, Between Two Ferns, is one of the funniest things I've seen in the past couple years. Every episode is hilarious.

I like Bob Kelly and Louis C.K. a lot. And I really love Eddie Izzard.

There are some good choices here. I, too, have a long list of favorites but I'll keep it brief:

Robin Williams
Ron White
Jeff Dunham
Russell Peters
