Distribution rights for Teruyoshi Ishii's Abashiri ikka: The Movie are now being offered for sale by The KlockWorx Co. Ltd. (K.K. KurokkuWâkusu).
The screenplay for Abashiri ikka: The Movie was written by Sadayuki Murai, based on the manga serial "Abashiri ikka" by Gô Nagai. The movie stars (listed order corresponds to order on cast page of official website) Erika Tonooka, Ijirî Okada, Kyôji Kamui, Yakan Nabe, Maria Yoshikawa, Miwa, Mami Sakamoto, Inori Imamura, Mika, Shingo Nishida, Norihito Komori, Kenji Gôda, Teppei Koyama, Tatsuya Kosugi, Nanoko Metsugi, Masato Matsuzaki, Teppei Enomoto, Hisashi Kunishima, Yûji Tanaka, Takuya Sagesaka (a.k.a. Takuya Tsutsumisaka), Yôhei Motojima, Tsuyoshi Nakano (narration), Eriko Matsumoto, Mai Endô, Jirô Satô, and Shun Sugata.
Abashiri ikka: The Movie is scheduled to have its world première at the Go Nagai Wonderland Museum (Nagai Gô Kinenkan) in Wajima, Japan on October 31st; Nagai and Tonooka are expected to attend. Total Media Corporation (TMC K.K. / K.K. Tî Emu Shî) is scheduled to release it theatrically in Japan on November 21st.

The international sales title of Abashiri ikka: The Movie is "Abashiri Family"; distribution rights for the movie are now being offered for sale by Geta.
Here's a synopsis for Abashiri Family from Geta: "In the near future, villains who commit heinous crimes are detained in the lawless Nippon Extraterritory, all from the doings of one family. Kikunosuke Abashiri, a student of the Paradise High School in the extraterritory has lost all her memories of the past. She sometimes dreams of her happy life with her father, Daemon; her brothers, Goemon and Naojiro; and her younger brother, Kichiza, but she doesn't know whether they are fantasy or reality. The high school, under the grip of its principal, Danjuro Namakubi, is filled with rogue violence and bullying. A new student, Yuki, is a prime target, and Kikunosuke tries to save her. But when she fights, she falls prey to terrible headaches. The furious conflict between the criminal Abashiris family and the Japanese authorities ended a year ago, and the Nippon Extraterritory was created to seal off the family. With implanted biochips in the family members to control their violent impulses, experiments have been undertaken with brainwashing supersonic waves. Behind the research is Danjuro's daughter, Kaoruko Hanii, nicknamed 'Mademoiselle Honey'. Can Kikunosuke meet her family again? What's Danjuro's great conspiracy, gnawing at her from behind? The Abashiri family verses Danjuro's family: they are about to clash!"
