^^ I saw them play that live a couple of years ago while on the rail...Trent had tears flowing from his eyes...he was actually crying while singing that song...talk about emotion. _________________ ? |

Terrible Lie! |
The Terrible Lie always reminded me of Peter Gabriel's Games Without rontiers.
As far as the album being discussed, ENDGAME is a noble effort. Good riffage, and the usual right wing ranting from Cumstain (which is always good for a laugh)
A couple of trivial things about a couple of Megadeth songs -
DId you know Chosen Ones off the debut is about Monty Python And The Holy Grail? Yep, strange but true.
Holy Wars is about The Punisher. Yep, not so strange but still true. _________________ When you are beautiful it's only skin deep, but when you are ugly it's all the way through. |

NIN is an amazing concert to see. What a great show.
Peter Gabriel is a musical genious but where did he go?
I didn't know that about those songs that's funny. I don't listen to Megadeth for the lyrics that's for sure. |

Mustain has moments where his lyrics are great...but then he has moments like 48 Minutes and Countdown to Extinction. But, I have always been more into Megadeth's Music than their lyrics.......so that I can live with. |

Peter Gabriel became fucking Paul Simon and became infatuated with appropriating African music for his own. _________________ When you are beautiful it's only skin deep, but when you are ugly it's all the way through. |

| Gabriel has some great world music on his label. And of course Kate Bush who is my favorite female vocalist. Hounds of Love is a must listen rock album. |

Finally picked this disc up.
So far I like it much better than the last album (United Abominations)...but it isn't some great return to form or anything. I still like System Has Failed much much much more than this. I think I might also like World Needs A Hero better.
...but this album is far from Crappy and definitely better than garbage like United Abominations and Risk. _________________ ? |

I dunno about the rest of youse guys but I liked United Abominations, and I like Endgame to an extent. The album seems to go downhill once it hits Headcrusher. Mustaine's political tone on this album and the last wasn't right-wing rhetoric, let alone left-wing for that matter. I know where the title and song Endgame came from. Both were inspired by Alex Jones' film of the same name that talked about the same issues. Jones is the guy that runs that site Infowars and Prison Planet if any of you follow politics or "conspiracy theories". With UA, my favorite track on that one was the remake of "A tout le monde" with Cristina Scabbia. I think she gave the song a little bit of extra power. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/abloodyshadow
