I don't know anything about The Punisher but if you're talking about the first one, ughhh, boring. There was more carnage in Warzone than 10 horror films together. I love it.

I am not a big comic book fan, but I thought Warzone was bad. The script, the acting, and even though it was graphically violent, I didn't it was done very well...I thought the first one was just smarter, but Jane carried it for me....which is what kills me about the Mutant Chronicles...Thomas Jane and Ron Rerlman together should be awesome, but it was terrible.

I had the Mutant Chronicles before it came out but never got around to watching it. Good thing I guess. I'm not a fan of Ron Perlman although I thought he did a good job in The Last Winter and didn't ruin a Fessenden movie for me which I was afraid of.

I do like Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson.

I also really like Jason Statham. And I think that maybe we need to look at what is done elsewhere for action movies. I have been watching a lot of foreign action films and love Cyril Raffaelli's style. He was even good in Live Free or Die Hard.

I do like foriegn films but I don't get into forign action movies much at all. To me there's nothing like a big, expensive, Hollywood Blockbuster of an action movie with the right star. Live Free or Die Hard was good. Maybe the only genre Hollywood gets right more often than not.

Floydian, find a movie called B13. It's amazing.

Thats why I like Michael Bay...I don't care about the plot when I see one of his movie, I just want big, loud action...and I like to see shit blow up.....I can be very shallow when I want to be.

I love Statham...sometimes he just needs to read a script before he accepts a part(Transporter 2 and 3)...

Stuff produced by Besson for Europe (Usually through Europa Corp.) is usually good in action and other typically "American" styles. He has been hated on in France for americanizing his movies too much.

Btw, he produced (or at least his company did) and co-wrote it.

Yeah, and you have to see Blueberry. When you do watch either B13 or Blueberry, let me know what you thought.

You should probably look for Crimson Rivers and Crimson Rivers 2, both have great action sequences (they are not completely action movies, but still really good). The second on is a bot more action oriented I think.

Also, Danny the Dog (aka Unleashed).

And lastly, the Thai have been doing really entertaining action movies lately.

Here's another action movie worth checking out:

Nid de Guepes (The Nest): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280990/

edit: fixed a typo

You think Cena has the it factor but Duane Johnson elicits indifference? I'm glad I'm not you.

I much prefer The Rock.

To me Cena is just a Mark Walhberg wanna be. By that I mean that he looks similar, he had a style (of clothing) similar to "Marky Mark" when wrestling, which made him look goofy to me and now he a serious actor or at least wants to be.

Difference is, Walhberg can fucking act and he can still do action (recent bad script choices excluded).

As for The Rock, his acting keeps getting better and to prove that he can act, he has taken on roles that were not necessarily action oriented. Shit, I found him to be very good (acting wise) in Race to Witch Mountain.

I agree on Cena reminding me of Whalberg...I like em both though. The Marine is still a guilty pleasure regardless....Max Payne was awful, painfully awful.......I didn't say i didn't like the Rock...he has his moments...I will give him that....Unleashed was a damn good movie.

I like Marky Mark alot. It's rare I don't like a movie he's in. I just watched The Perfect Storm a couple of days ago. Awesome movie.
