This was one of those movies where I always marveled at the VHS box cover. it was one of those oversized ones with the big zombie face on it. I had to wait until I was older to see it. Which I think I was 13 or 14. Loved it then. Love it now.

I was listening to a news story about a ship full of illegal chinese immigrants that ran aground just off of the coast of NY back in the '90s. There were chinese people trying to swim to shore and drowning. Hearing about that made me think of the boat in this movie and the Demeter.

In my opinion The Beyond is Fulci's best film but this one will always be my favorite. I think because it was the first one I saw. I will always have a love for this.
