I don't think I've ever seen a movie like this before. It starts off pretty normal and gets more and more absurd as it goes on. And that's what made it funny.

I think one of the reasons I find this to be a great rent-a-cop movie is due to the fact that I've not seen Paul Blart and had no intentions of doing so ever. Because had I seen Paul Blart, I may be calling the film a rip-off but both crews actually talked to each other about their mall cop films and went the opposite direction from what I read.

What I love is how, as the movie goes on, you slowly begin to realize that Seth Rogan's character isn't just some wacky comedy boob, but a dangerous sociopathic nutjob. All the "antagonists" are really the sane ones...but the movie flips the coin so well that you're rooting against them.
