I woke up early this morning and began reading Brian Keene's The Conqueror Worms. That story involves a massive, biblical rain storm flooding the world, worms, and a weird fungus that grows on everything, even living creatures. Right after I began reading, it started storming and there were warnings of flash floods. Once I got to work, I saw that some big ass worms were the cover story of some magazine there. Then I came home and watched the end of ol' Jordy Verrill. What a neat string of coincidences. I am so ready to finish the novel now.

maybe the universe is trying to tell you something

After all the silly movies he's been in, I just can't take Leslie Nielsen seriously, except in the movies like this, from before he got typecast as a doofus.

Nah. I mean, it's the fucking universe, you know? I'm sure it could get my number if it wanted and it'd just text if it really had something to say.

still someone could trespass.... it's a huge open area, maybe I'd just be a more cautious murderer

perhaps.... but I'd like to do a lot more psychological damage... I mean quick sterile kills are fun but if you're going to all that trouble you might as well enjoy yourself

this is one story that could really be modernized nicely. With the advances in optics and communication technology this guy could really get creative with his viewings, and he wouldn't have had to deal with installation guys like he would have in 82

I'm reworking a short script that really shows that side of me off, when I'm done I'll send you a copy.
