I'm actually kind of looking forward to this. I didn't play the first one due to shitastic reviews - but this one does look entertaining.
Looks like it will totally live up to its "Just Cause" name. |

| Actually the first one got higher marks for the 360. OXM gave it a 9, I believe. |

Can't remember what they gave it, but it was pretty fun. I think it suffered the same problems as Gun and The Godfather did. Games that weren't really taking advantage of the next-gen hardware and it showed. They are all good games, mind you, just not the thing to get really excited about. Like you said, it showed a lot of promise and I have been eagerly awaiting the sequel.
The video shows what I was imagining the first one to be like. Smooth, fluid parachuting mixed with big booms and guns. It already looks better than the disappointing Bionic Commando by the ease of which you pull off the moves and travel around in the level. User friendly, I believe is the term. |

| I think the problem with the first one is that is developed for both last gen and current gen platforms. This new one was made specifically for current gen and it shows. |
