ModernCine Looking at Skipp’s Long Last Call?

The Long Last CallWe just got a heads up from the sickos over at FearsMag that the folks at ModernCine, the production house responsible for Headspace, The Girl Next Door and the upcoming Ketchum adaptation Offspring, are in talks with John Skipp to bring his latest novel, “>The Long Last Call (review), to the big screen!

The details haven’t been finalized or any deals signed, but it’s still good news since Skipp’s been trying to get Long Last Call on the big screen for a while, and so far ModernCine has proven itself to have great taste in adaptations.

For those unaware, LLC takes place in a seedy strip club one dark and evil night. A stranger shows up in a very fancy car with an awful lot of money, which makes him the favorite of all the girls dancing for their next meal. The more money he hands out, though, the more insane things get and the more hatred is brought in his fellow patrons until all hell breaks loose.

Skipp’s latest collaboration, “>Jake’s Wake, is in the works for a feature film as well, so I guess right now is a damn good time to be John Skipp! Look for solid updates on both films very soon!
