Cage & Sena Reteam for Season of the Witch

Wow, “>Season of the Witch is back in the news. It finally sounds like it’s going to get made, but as with most things in Hollywood it is both blessing and a curse. A blessing because this script has been sitting in development hell for years; a curse because Nicolas Cage is now attached to star in it according to Variety.
The script, written by Bragi Schut, Jr., tells the journey of a group of 14th Century knights transporting a girl who is suspected of being a witch responsible for the Black Plague. Cage, one has to assume, will be one of the head knights with a lot of lines, which just makes me want to curl up and rock back and forth for a while. I’m really not a fan, in case you couldn’t tell.
Gone in 60 Seconds (one of the few Cage roles I can stand, oddly) director Dominic Sena is helming Season of the Witch, which looks like it could go in front of cameras as early as November in Austria and Hungary.
