This year marks the 25th anniversary of Tremors, and the special effects masters over at Studio ADI are celebrating by giving us fans a peek behind the proverbial curtain with special behind-the-scenes videos that you won’t find on any DVD or Blu-ray.

Earlier this week the effects house uploaded the first video in the anniversary series over on its YouTube channel, showing the process of building a full-size Graboid. Set to music, the video features vintage photos from the set and is a real treat for fans of the film.

Tremors was the first big show for ADI,” reads the video’s description. “So to kick off the silver anniversary of this classic, we wanted to give you [a] look at those early, humble days and thank the artists who helped us pull this one out of our hats: Carl Sorensen, Mark Wilson, Robert Kurtzman and Howard Berger of KNB, Mitch Coughlin, David Miller (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Linda Frobos, Michael Spatola (Cinema Makeup School), Shaun Smith (I Am Legend).”
