Moore Finds Shelter

Variety reported this morning that Julianne Moore has signed on to star in Shelter, which they referred to as a “supernatural horror film”, to be produced by Nala Films.
Based on a script by Michael Cooney (Identity), the story is about a forensic psychiatrist (Moore) who makes it her job to debunk multiple personality disorders. When she discovers that her latest patient’s various personalities are all murder victims, however, she’s got to find a way to let logic explain it before she admits to something strange going on.
Cooney’s apparently got a thing for multiple personalities as the subject was also at the core of Identity, a break-out film that I really thought would mean we’d see more from the writer. Either that or he’s been pigeon-holed as the “multiple personality disorder screenwriter” and those are the only jobs he can get…
Swedish duo Mars Marlind and Bjorn Stein are helming Shelter, which will roll in late March in Pittsburgh. Keep it here for more as we gather it!
