Purge Sequel Officially The Purge 2

Variety is reporting that the sequel to The Purge will indeed be called The Purge 2 upon release. The production permits for the sequel have been taken out under the name The Zone, but Universal said the name of the film will be titled as mentioned above.

The sequel stars Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Zach Gilford, Carmen Ejogo, Jasper Cole, Zoe Borde, Chad Morgan, and Kiele Sanchez.

Look for it in theaters on Friday, June 20, 2014.

Writer/director/producer James DeMonaco returns and will be joined by producers Jason Blum, Sebastien Lemercier, and Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.
