Xombie Producers Found Alive

First pic from Alive! (click to see it bigger)It’s a very strange world out there. These days everyone wants to create something episodic, a concept that will keep people coming back week after week to learn more about the characters; and more and more they’re doing it without any sort of studio backing, an idea that was unheard of just a decade ago. Gotta love the Internet!

I just have to wonder; why does it always have to be zombies?

We got a heads up from Cindi Rice, one of the producers of the online Xombie series from Jamie Farr, about a new series they’re creating about a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse appropriately tiled Alive.

”Star Trek” fans will be happy to know that Gar & Judith Reeves-Stevens (producers of “ST: Enterprise”), Michael Okuda (who’s had technical involvement in every “Trek” show and movie) and the creators of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, The Chiodo Bros., are all involved in the creation of Alive. That’s quite a pedigree!

Before the start of the show proper, they’ve released a series of character podcasts, explaining all they’ve learned about the zombie hordes and what the world is like now. Check out the first podcast from Alive right here and keep your eyes open for the official announcement of the start of the series very soon!
