Freeing Trapped Ashes

Trapped Ashes Poster (click to see it bigger!)Remember those good old days when there was nothing else to do on a rainy night than tell scary stories to each other or watch midgets do strange things to people on the “special channel?” If midgets aren’t your style, then we’ve got better news for you: Dennis Bartok, the writer and producer of Trapped Ashes, has unfolded his film’s new poster for his anthology to the folks over at Fangoria.

Mr. Bartock’s new film is not just one story, but four all tied together by a group of actors trapped inside the House of Horror. Each of them must tell a story in order to survive. Sounds interesting enough, but who has trapped them there? If you are attending the Toronto Film Festival tomorrow, September 12th, you can catch segments directed by Ken Russell, Sean S. Cunningham, John Gaeta, Monte Hellman, and a wraparound segment by Joe Dante.

Dennis Bartok has another anthology up his sleeves called The Knives, which is set around a trio of sharp objects and the blood they spill. If the cutlery comes to life, tells a couple of jokes, and slits some teens up the middle, I’m sold! Throw in a song and dance routine and you’ve got a real winner.
