HOCUS POCUS Rerelease Snags $2M at Weekend Box Office

Disney rereleased Hocus Pocus with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy into over 2,500 theaters this past weekend, and it looks like it was a good move as the Halloween horror classic snagged nearly $2M this weekend.

Good for them!

Midler’s annual Hulaween fundraising gala will reunite her with Parker and Najimy this Halloween. In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover will take place on Friday, October 30. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Hocus Pocus is now streaming on Disney+.

Adam Shankman’s Hocus Pocus 2 is set to begin filming early next year in L.A. and Massachusetts with Midler, Parker, and Najimy returning as the Sanderson sisters.

The original centered on a group of kids who accidentally frees a coven of evil witches and with the help of a magical cat must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal. It starred Midler, Najimy, and Parker with Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, Jason Marsden, and Doug Jones.
