Holy good lord.
Just saw a screening of this last night and it was hilarious and awesome.
Best way to describe it is it's like an Adult version of E.T.
And any movie that can reference Jaws AND Battlestar Galactica is gold in my book.

Yes! Sadly Kasch and I were the only ones laughing during that scene, and then when I saw it again I was the only one laughing. Not to mention I cried when Hader screamed "SMILE YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
