Hello, you glorious gluttons for all things indie horror! Are you just starving for the newest of the new, the most unknownest of the unknown? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to the Ultra-Indie Daily Dose! In this series, we’re going to pick a new game every day from an indie horror creator you’ve probably never heard of. No million-dollar budgets or factory productions. This is the space for the little guy with not but a developer toolkit and a dream. So if you’re down to roll the dice on something different, then stick around and check it out!

Welcome! Glad to see you’re back for another Daily Dose. By reading this article you are agreeing to never ever ever ever ever go into an abandoned mineshaft. There’s no sun, there’s no radio signal, and a lot of times there’s not even air worth breathing. Honestly, don’t even go underground in general. That’s the first takeaway from Cage-Face, and perhaps the most important.

Cage-Face is a game by itch.io developer Alex Olinkiewicz. The game has you in the role of some kind of investigator, who has just found some new evidence. Among the documents and files is a VHS tape, recording a person’s exploration of an abandoned mine. As previously stated, this is never ever a good idea, and as you play through the game you’ll find out a whole new reason why.

The game is short, but leaves on a cliffhanger. Hopefully a sequel is in the works. You can play Cage-Face for free on itch.io by clicking here
