Somehow I’ve missed over the past few years. But I caught Bill Skarsgard’s audition as Pennywise for Stephen King’s IT over the weekend and felt like sharing.

Directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama) from a screenplay written by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle) based on Stephen King’s bestseller, IT follows seven young outcasts who must face their worst nightmare – an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise.
Rated R for violence/horror, bloody images, and for language, it sports an 85% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Well-acted and fiendishly frightening with an emotionally affecting story at its core, It amplifies the horror in Stephen King’s classic story without losing touch with its heart.
