This Day in Horror History: Happy Birthday, KEANU REEVES

On this day in horror history, Keanu Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1964.

Reeves is best known around these parts for his roles in such fright flicks as Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Devil’s Advocate, The Watcher, The Gift, Constantine, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Knock Knock, The Neon Demon, and The Bad Batch.

The man is perhaps most famous however for his action flicks such as Point Break, Speed, Johnny Mnemonic, Chain Reaction, Street Kings, Replicas, 47 Ronin, John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and of course The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions.

Fittingly, next up for the man is The Matrix 4.

That said, he has also tried his hand at comedy in films such as Parenthood, Much Ado About Nothing, The Replacements, Hardball, Something’s Gotta Give, and A Scanner Darkly. And let’s not forget his role as Ted “Theodore” Logan in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Oh, and who could forget his recent voice-role as Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4.

Other films Reeves has starred in but most of us will never see include My Own Private Idaho, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, A Walk in the Clouds, Feeling Minnesota, The Last Time I Committed Suicide, Sweet November, and Lake House.

But Reeves is more than just an actor. He also produced the must-see film vs digital documentary Side by Side and directed the action film Man of Tai Chi.
