Okay, so I'm kind of copying Buz with the title, but it keeps it all cohesive so whatever!

Anyone read the first run of this book? The movie comes out soon and it looks VERY accurate to the source material (save for some strange costume changes).

I really love this book. It's as realistic a superhero book as you could ever imagine. It's really gritty and dark and really light hearted at the same time. Strange combination, but Millar pulls it off.

Fucking LOVED the comic. I read it over a year ago and remember saying "Dear god this would make an awesome movie."

Sure enough they started working on it within months.

I just love that on his first night out he gets disemboweled. Because that is probably what would really happen.

I love his dad too,

"Son, why were you naked when the police found you?"

LOL yes!

I also loved all of the little references, ESPECIALLY the last line of issue 8!

I don't think I got that far sadly.

The release schedule was shit. It was like bi/tri monthly. I didn't really know when to pick up the issues, and now there always sold out because of the movie. Sad
