I am communicating now from a brand spankin' new laptop. My 4th in a couple months. The first 3 all Asus. All I heard about Asus was that they were a top-'o-the-line laptop manufacturer. Yeah, everything from motherboards crashing to batteries not working. They made the XBox 360 look like a Toyota.

Now I have a bleeding edge Toshiba. They have served me well in the past.

Maximum PC rated the cheaper, more entry level, Toshiba Satellite T115 a 9 and gave it a rave review. I have the more powerful, though still slower to start up and get to the desktop than I'd like, Satellite A505 which has performed excellently so far with not a single hitch. This one came out 2 weeks before I bought it. I had high hopes for the Asus which ran Crysis with all the bells and whistles without a single bit of slow-down but I'll take the trafe-off of not being able to play the latest PC game in order to have a laptop that doesn't crash on an almost daily basis.

I've had an Asus laptop for quite some time now and have had no problems with it whatsoever.

Asus stopped repairing them because there were so many returns. It's stupid that the manufacturer of the majority of motherboards in laptops today can't build their own computers.
